Here are some pictures I couldn't fit in the previous post--I guess there's a five picture limit. On Friday we took Ellie to Meemaw and Papa's in Montrose (Andrea's parents) for the first time. They're the lucky ones who've had a lot of quality time in with their little granddaughter so far, and they still can't get enough (really, can you blame them?;o) We've really been blessed by having them so close to help us on our way as parents. Diane, aka Meemaw, is an incredible scrapbook professional who already has pages created for Ellie's scrapbook! Unfortunately, we don't have any pictures of those to show you here, so you'll have to come to Colordao for a personal viewing! Grandma Wendy is a quilter, and you can see her beautiful craftsmanship in the pictures of Ellie laying on the backside of the quilt, and Andrea snuggled underneath. The pastel colors go perfectly with the nursery! And Papa John--what isn't he good at?! If it weren't for him, the whole place would fall apart.
Honestly, you begin to respect and appreciate your parents and in-laws on a whole other level once you see them in action with your baby girl. But now, instead of dealing with her every beck and call, they can hand her over to mom or dad when the going gets rough:o) Ah, the perks of being a grandparent...
Speaking of grandparents, Grandma Birkett in Wisconsin also made a beautiful pastel quilt for Ellie. You can see that one in the picture of a birght-eyed Ellie. Thanks Grandma! You're now a Great Grandma, congrats!
Love,
Graham, Andrea & Ellie
