Look at my daughter... Man, talk about daddy's girl. I love this picture because it's got the aire of adventure written all over it.
She's got her mom's knitted hat pulled tight, dad's headlamp ready to go, and she's looking off to the horizon to a new day in history. Never mind that she's still in her pajamas--that's irrelevant. She's bound and determined to see the world, carrying a little bit of mom and dad with her as she goes.
And then as a parent, the gravity of that last sentence hits you. What I say and do today to this face of (seeming) innocence will be carried on from here for a lifetime outside my own. Wow. God, could I get another round of wisdom over here?
Snowshoeing is a great cultivator of faith. It's one of those outdoor activities that you can enjoy nature, yet still go deep in conversation while doing it. With skiing or climbing, you're limited to the lift ride back up, or the down times at the bottom of the crag. With snowshoeing, you've got the ride up, the trail, and the ride back. Anyway, it's a great time for iron to sharpen iron.

Fabulous picture of the canyon walls with the snow bro. I yearn for that, Graham.
